Those who submitted an abstract will be notified of acceptance status by mid-July.

How to Submit an Abstract

1. Read this page thoroughly and check for important dates, deadlines, requirements. Information regarding word limits and specifics for your abstract are detailed in the submission form.

 

2. Pay your submission fee - $50 USD fee required for non-members. Submission is free for ISEH Members! Non-members click here to pay!

 

3. If you are a student or postdoctoral fellow and applying for a travel grant, complete the application and include with your abstract submission. Read below for specific travel grant criteria and requirements.

Rules & Restrictions

Word limit for submitted abstracts is 1,900 characters (including spaces). Images and figures submitted with abstracts are not publishable due to space constraints. ISEH does not restrict against abstracts or content that has been previously presented or published.

 

Notifications for Abstract Acceptance

All abstract submitters will be notified via email if their abstract has been declined or accepted for an oral or virtual poster presentation by no later than 15 July.

 

Invited Speakers & ISEH Award Winners

Invited Speakers (those invited by the ISEH Scientific Program Committee or ISEH Awards Committee) should follow the "How to Submit an Abstract" instructions above to submit their abstract. Word limit for Invited Speaker abstracts is 2,100 characters (including spaces). If you have questions please contact education@iseh.org.

 

Withdrawing an Abstract

If you wish to withdraw a previously submitted 2020 abstract, you may do so either by logging in to the abstract system through the "Submit Your Abstract" button above and following the steps to withdraw your abstract, or by contacting education@iseh.org to request to have your abstract withdrawn. Please note, refunds are not available for withdrawn abstracts.

 

 

 

 

Virtual Travel Grant Opportunities


The application period for virtual travel grants is now closed. Application for virtual travel grants must have been completed as a part of your abstract submission and completed by 25 June. Those who submitted an abstract and virtual travel grant application will be notified of acceptance status by mid-July.

 

ISEH is committed to helping early-career investigators maximize their potential. As such, in 2020 we are offering "virtual" travel grants to eligible ISEH members who are PhD students or Post-doctoral fellows. Payout for travel grant recipients is contingent on their attendance at the ISEH Virtual Meeting and their presentation of an accepted abstract as a poster or oral presentation. The payment scale for virtual travel grants will be adjusted to reflect the virtual meeting format as there will be no need for physical travel. There are three fantastic virtual travel grant opportunities available for 2020:

 

 

ISEH Virtual Travel Grants

Virtual travel grants are awards as a component of scientific abstract review and are considered on the basis of scientific merit.

Criteria and requirements for the ISEH travel grant:

  • Current member of ISEH
  • Currently either a student or post-doctoral fellow
  • Complete the travel grant application form and submit with your abstract.

 

Experimental Hematology Virtual Travel Awards

This travel grant is supported by Experimental Hematology and it's Editor-in-Chief, Connie Eaves, and will be given out for the ISEH Virtual Meeting. The Experimental Hematology Travel Awards are considered on the basis of scientific merit.

Criteria and requirements for the Experimental Hematology Travel Grant:

  • Current member of ISEH
  • Currently either a student or post-doctoral fellow
  • Complete the travel grant application form and submit with your abstract. 

 

Ihor Lemischka Technology and Innovation Virtual Travel Grants

This travel grant is given in honor of Ihor Lemischka, and will be given out for the ISEH Virtual Meeting. The Ihor Lemischka Technology and Innovation Travel Awards are considered on the basis of scientific merit and relevance to technology and innovation.

Criteria and requirements for the Ihor Lemischka Technology and Innovation Travel Grant:

  • Current member of ISEH
  • Currently either a student or post-doctoral fellow
  • Complete the travel grant application form and submit with your abstract.
  • Complete the Technology Description portion of the abstract submission.
